All of Conflict’s studio singles from 1982-2003 on a limited blue double vinyl 2LP, released for Record Store Day 2026. The gatefold sleeve includes lyrics to all 24 tracks (which is 4 extra tracks than the CD version). In tribute to Conflict front-man Colin Jerwood.
Sadly, main-man Colin Jerwood died in May 2025, shortly after the release of their first album in 20 years, This Much Remains. Conflict are one of the world’s foremost activist anarchist punk band, who were first heard on their mentors Crass’s label, their ‘To a Nation of Animal Lovers’ EP inspired anti-vivisection and anti-hunt campaigns.
Espousing direct action and numerous political causes, on their own Mortarhate label (through Jungle) they dominated the top of the singles and albums indie charts through the eighties. Gigs turned into full-scale riots, with hundreds arrested, leading to national outrage headlines. Police banned them from performing in the UK, so they went underground and abroad.
They kept touring; a resurgence of interest in the punk movement reactivated them in the 21st century. Following Colin’s death they continued to gig, in tribute to Colin’s legacy.

The original 1982 album 'Animal Pleasure' + 1984 mini-LP 'Tall in the Saddle' + 3 previously unreleased tracks. The first time on vinyl since the 1980’s, in a limited-edition, red vinyl double-LP for Record Store Day 2026. • Features Glen Matlock, Terry Chimes, Mike Monroe, Gerry Laffy, Tony James, etc etc. Notes by The London Cowboys’ Steve Dior.
Emerging out of the embryonic London punk scene, they were deeply embedded, playing alongside many punk luminaries including four of the Sex Pistols and four New York Dolls. Guitarist Barry Jones was a co-promoter at the famous Roxy Club (and later at Max’s KC); Steve Dior was a young punk scenester.
Firstly, The Idols formed in New York in 1978 with Steve Dior, Barry Jones and Jerry Nolan post-Heartbreakers, releasing a single on US label Ork Records. The Idols (with Arthur Kane) then became Sid Vicious's band for his final Max's Kansas City shows. The Idols evolved into the London Cowboys, who attracted more music scene notables; including the Sex Pistols' Glen Matlock, Heartbreaker Jerry Nolan, Gen X's Tony James, Hanoi Rocks' Mike Monroe, Girl's Gerry Laffy and Clash drummer Terry Chimes.
They signed with Marc Zermati's French 'Underdog' label in 1982, issuing Animal Pleasure in 1982 and Tall in the Saddle in 1984. Subsequently Barry joined Johnny Thunders’ band alongside Glen Matlock, Jerry Nolan, & Arthur Kane, and Steve Dior formed Filthy Lucre with Phil Lewis.
In 2025, Dior & Jones announced that a new London Cowboys album was being recorded in London. They have stories to tell!
