STREET HEROES from Norway - history.
Streeet Heroes had its roots in old school rock'n roll and The ROCKBOYS from the 70's (see below). The Rockboys and Street Heroes was also the starting point for several bands and artists later in the 80s and up to today.

STREET HEORES - classic Haldenrock.
On the Norwegian National Day, May 17, 1980, the classic rock band STREET HEROES won a live talent competition in the rock city of Halden (southeast of Norway), with an audience of over 4000.

The prize was a trophy and recording of a vinyl at the legendary Claes Nebb Music Workshop in Tistedal, a village outside the center of Halden. Claes Nebb (1950-2013) himself was an internationally known musician and guitarist - as Chet Atkins has stated: "...Claes is a very good friend and among the very best guitarists in the world in his style...".

STREET HEROES original single (7”, 45 RPM) from 1980 has become a collector's item with a very high price.

THE A TRACK
The A track with the song "The Next Day" (which may also be a suitable song for many in Norway on May 18th...), was played a lot at night clubs - as one of the last songs for the evening. That song is also on a compilation CD (2001) with rock band from Halden (1965-2001). https://www.discogs.com/release/85297...

THE B TRACK
But, the B-track, which became a hit on concerts, has gone into oblivion, and has not been played for a very long time. This track is now digitized - so you all can experience this forgotten song – with the original sound and taste from the beginning of the 80's:

YOUR LOVER'S SONG – A TIMELESS POEM
The guitarist Morten Lund was the main vocalist on this song, with his empathy, sore voice and expression. At concerts, it was especially the first stanzas in each verse that the audience sang with, and the vocalist responded alone with the next stanza. Here the lyrics to the "all-singing stanzas" as well as the chorus. These sentences are in themselves a timeless poem ...:

Street Heroes (formerly also the Surprise) originally started as a classic old school rock'n'roll band, The ROCKBOYS in the mid 70's.

NEW MEMBERS AND "THE EDUCATIONAL SONG"
After the record release, Street Heroes was strengthened with guitarist Aage Kjelbergnes and vocalist Ole Evenrud.

Shortly after, the band changed their music style (more experimental powerpop/new wave) and bandname to The Bratz, and later to Ole I' Dole. They released the song "Jæ Ær Færi" (I'm finished) … an educational song about the end of 12 years of schooling…, on the compilation vinyl, The Big Voice of New Noise (1981).

ROCKBOYS REUNION 2013-
The ROCKBOYS from the 70s, was started up again in 2013, with some of the original members.

The Rockboys were known for their vintage sound, by only using classic vintage equipment (echo machine from the 60s, old tube amplifiers etc).
