As anyone lucky enough to have seen The Pogues live will attest, their shows were a raucous knees up with audience and band alike seemingly three sheets to the wind and turbo charged. This show captures the band firing on all cylinders and playing as if there's no tomorrow, and it's almost possible to hear the sweat dripping from the ceiling. The majority of the set is taken from their debut album Red Roses For Me, with a handful of covers thrown in for good measure. Whilst the likes 'Whiskey Of You're The Devil' inspire flailing limbs and the consumption of more whiskey, subtlety does occasionally make an appearance. Most notably 'A Pair Of Brown Eyes' has the feel of a song played at a particularly raucous wake. There's no time for tears though, as this gloriously celebratory set is all about living like there's no tomorrow.
