Norwegian titan, Mork, was created by Thomas Eriksen in 2004, with the debut album ‘Isebakke’ eventually surfacing in 2013. Since then, Mork has been ceaselessly rising through the echelons of Black Metal, & on the heels of 2024’s intense & groundbreaking ‘Syv’ opus - which has resulted in the band branching out with tours in the Far East & Australia - Eriksen continues on this evolutionary path with the new album, & what is undoubtedly set to be a new benchmark, ‘Monolitt’. ‘Monolitt’ was recorded & performed primarily by Thomas Eriksen, with Asgeir Mickelson supplying drums, plus additional guest vocals coming from Øyvind Kaslegard of ‘Svart Lotus’. The album was mixed at Toproom Studio by Børge Finstad (Mayhem), before being mastered by Jack Control at Enormous Door (Darkthrone), & at Appelbaum Mastering by Maor Appelbaum (Sepultura). The bold & striking cover image was created by Norwegian artist Kjell Åge Melland.
